During the devastating floods of 2022 in Sindh, Noori Development Foundation (NDF) implemented a women-centred humanitarian response to address the urgent needs of women and adolescent girls from flood-affected fishing and agricultural communities.

In collaboration with Zhavia Pakistan, NDF focused on menstrual health and hygiene, an often neglected but critical aspect of emergency response. Women living in temporary shelters and remote coastal areas faced serious health and dignity challenges due to lack of hygiene resources.

Female hygiene kits were distributed in Badin, Sujawal, and Thatta districts, ensuring menstrual dignity, improved health, and safety for women and girls. This initiative highlighted the importance of gender-responsive humanitarian action and reinforced NDF’s commitment as a women-led, rights-based organisation.
