In 2022, Noori Development Foundation received an emergency humanitarian grant from WhyHunger (USA) to support flood-affected fisherfolk communities across Sindh.

Under the leadership of Ms. Yasmeen Shah, President of NDF, this support strengthened community-led relief efforts during one of the most challenging humanitarian crises in the region. The assistance focused on addressing food insecurity and essential needs of vulnerable fishing communities.

The collaboration reflected NDF’s strong commitment to food justice, women’s leadership, and community rights, ensuring that relief efforts were inclusive, timely, and rooted in local community coordination.
